What is a Ring Tone manager?

The current methods of getting Alarm sounds into PalmOs are problematic to say the least. The typical method means overwriting the system ringtone database (not recommended) or loading multiple databases of the same type. There are a number of problems with either method. Typical problems include

Overwriting existing Alarm collections when installing new ones.
Not being able to revert to the default alarms easily if problems occur.
Overloading PalmOs with too many Tones.

When you install Ringtones for Treo you are loading a Ringo Tone Database. You can load as many as you want however you need to use a ringtone manager to switch between them easily. The ringtone manager allows you to select from the different ring tone databases and copy them into the system tone database. Features to look our for in the software you choose

Set a personal Ringtone for each of your friends or groups
Create 'groups' of contacts for easy management
